Eid-ul-Azha Promotes Peace, Hope and spirit of Sacrifice

Eid-ul-Azha is a very joyous occasion for Muslims. It marks the conclusion of the Hajj pilgrimage and signals the beginning of the ritual of sacrifice of animals. It is one of the feasts in the Islamic Calendar, when Muslims share the common values and thus exchange feelings of love, peace, hope, and unity. The main theme, of course, remains the same and that is to remember the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS); to rejoice, regroup, and rekindle as a family and feast together.

No matter, where in the world you reside and what your caste is, the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha unites Muslims all around the globe. It is because Islam promotes tolerance and human rights irrespective of caste, colour and creed.

The feast and the spirit of sacrifice also promote fellow feeling and that' s the will of God. The sacrifice of animals in the name of ALLAH Almighty on Eid-ul-Azha and distribution of meat among the poor and the needy by persons with fair means of income provides spiritual satisfaction to them.

On this joyous occasion, people dress up in new clothes, put on perfume and bring gifts for their friends and family members. Putting on new clothes and a nice fragrance is Sunna. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known to dress up on this day.
