![]() The Capital Development Authority has rolled out a plan to keep the citizens of Islamabad entertained. The civic authority has decided to take an entertainment initiative by launching parks in the federal capital. Currently, CDA is in planning phase to install Pakistan’s largest Ferris wheel with a height of almost 180 feet, at Lake View Park. The phase II of the park that was stalled for more than a decade, is being developed now and new entertainment initiatives are planned for this phase. Pakistan Movement Park is being developed along Islamabad Highway in sector H-8. The CDA Chairman has directed the Environment Wing to complete the PC-I of the project, in order to be approved as earlier as possible. Pakistan Movement Park is set to have several landscape features including gigantic walls displaying 2-D images in regards to the largest migration of the history. Currently, the development work is in full swing, as the park is planned to be inaugurated on 23rd March, 2022. Another park is also planned near Bhara Kahu in the National Park area. A significant feature of this park is exclusive section, being planned for kids and ladies. Other features of this park is a jogging track, kids’ playing gadgets, water sports area, mini golf-course, and a forest area. This park will be developed on the land, retrieved from the encroachers and land grabbers. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is preparing PC-I of all these projects as the concerned officials are directed by the chairman to complete the phase at the earliest, before the upcoming CDADWP meeting for consideration. |
